Saturday Sessions

ACBF8 Saturday Sessions aims to provide music for everyone and give new and local bands a platform throughout the day before the big headline act takes centre stage. In previous years we've had a steel band and an acapella group to complement the usual mix of folk and rock.

When the Dirty Dog Band last played ACBF their rousing version of Prince's Purple Rain had everyone up and singing at the tops of their voice - Weston Turville didn't know what was happening! Well, the Band are back and promise, once again, to rock out to the end of ACBF8 Day Two.

But there's more, another 7 acts for you to enjoy.

Returning local solo artist Jade PraiZe returns with an early acoustic set at lunchtime. Starseedz follow Jade moving the acoustic scale to folk rock. Vaulted Skies return on Saturday having previously stormed the Friday evening session, you'll love this band if you enjoy The Cure, Placebo, Radiohead, Joy Division and New Order.

Then we have a four festival acts that are entirely new to ACBF. Vandavils promise Indie (the webmaster hopes they do their cover of Steady as She Goes by the Raconteurs), Stonegarden (think Soundgarten, with a nod to Nirvana and others), Misty Five and the Dogmattics, a no-nonsense Punk and New Wave covers band and even a song by the Monkees, but some people will know that Stepping Stone by said band was an encore for many a Sex Pistols gig.

A solid line-up offering songs we know, many that we wish we did and always one or two we can't quite place but are happy to hear again!
